Rosetta Christine Butler Corns, 78, of Vanceburg, passed away Saturday, December 14, 2019, at the Care Center at Kenton Pointe in Maysville.
She was born February 28, 1941, in Lewis County, a daughter of the late Mason and Mable Charlton Butler.
Rosetta was a member of the Laurel Point Christian Holiness Church and enjoyed going to church, cooking, sewing, camping, growing flowers and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Rosetta is survived by her husband of 62 years, Leonard Joe Corns Sr.; one son, Leonard Joe Corns Jr. (Nicole Bradley) of Vanceburg; three daughters, Linda Bond (Larry) of Olive Hill, Wilma Ten Eyck (Tim) of Bucyrus, Ohio, and April Dawn White of Vanceburg; three brothers, Forest Butler and Hansel Butler both of Vanceburg, and Lonnie Butler of Valdosta, Georgia; two sisters, Barbara Kitchen of London, and Imogene Richmond of Olive Hill; one sister-in-law, Sally Butler of Vanceburg; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. She also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly mourn her passing.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Norman Butler, Noah Butler, and Vincent Butler; and one son-in-law, Howard White.
Services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, December 19, 2019, at Globe Family Funeral Chapel at Camp Dix with Bro. Ronnie Enix, Bro. Forest Hedges and Bro. Jerry Jordan officiating. Interment will follow in Smith-Gilliam Cemetery on Laurel Road.
Friends may visit from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 18, 2019, and after 9:00 a.m. Thursday at Globe Family Funeral Chapel, 7975 Lower Kinney Road at Camp Dix.
Rosetta’s grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
