Ruby Christine Arthurs, 86, passed away Thursday, May 11, 2023, at Hospice of Hope Care Center in Maysville.
She was born in Lewis County on July 11, 1936, a daughter of the late Cecil and Elizabeth Manley Polley.
Ruby was a member of Vanceburg Christian Baptist Church for more than 60 years. She loved to attend church and liked to work. She was a homemaker and farmer, and loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include her children, Frankie Dale (Kristi) Arthurs of Oak Ridge, Barbara Arthurs of Vanceburg, Beverly (Darren) Stanfield of Flemingsburg, and Rex (Tracy) Arthurs of Vanceburg; three sisters, Garneda (Bob) Chinn, Mildred Simpson, and Doris Johnson; her grandchildren, Jessica (Jeremy) Montieth, Jeremy (Katie) Cooper, Cory Stanfield, Madison Arthurs, Colten Arthurs, Lindsey (Ryan) Woods, Eric (Cayeann) Cowan, Sarah (Kenny) Stamper, Hannah Stanfield, and Dalton Stanfield, 12 great-grandchildren; a sister in-law, Ravenell Polley; a brother in-law, Roy Arthurs; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Franklin “Frank” Arthurs; two sisters, Louella Butler and Oleta Stone; and three brothers, Herb Polley, Johnny Polley, and Raymond Polley.
Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, May 15, 2023, at Gaydos Funeral Home, 159 Second Street in Vanceburg, with Pastor Roger Conley officiating. Burial will follow in Wedonia Cemetery in Mason County.

Pallbearers will be Frankie Arthurs, Rex Arthurs, Jeremy Cooper, Cory Stanfield, Andrew Montieth, and Paul Bruce Swearingen. Honorary pallbearers are her grandchildren.
