Ruby Grace Cassidy McClurg, 97, of Otway, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, February 16, 2023, at her home.
She was born April 22, 1925, in Lewis County, the daughter of the late William Owen and Hannah Pauline Harrison Cassidy.
On April 9, 1943, she was united in marriage to William Edmund McClurg who preceded her in death on July 31, 1968. Ruby worked at Martings, William Shoe Factory, Home Care, and sold Avon. She also attended Oswego Community Church.
Surviving are her children, Pauletta M. Adams of Otway, Ohio, Ronald Dale (Linda) McClurg of Lucasville, Ohio, William “Bill” E. (Dreama) McClurg II of Proctorville, Ohio, Charles “Chuck” Eugene (Sonya Phillips) McClurg of West Portsmouth, Ohio, and Connie Frances (Fredrick) Mick of Jackson, Ohio; 14 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Donald O. Cassidy of Fleming County.
In addition to her parents and husband, Ruby was preceded in death by a sister, June Argo; and two brothers, William C. and H. Eugene Cassidy.
Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 22, 2023, at Botkin Hornback Funeral Home in Otway, Ohio, with Pastor Danny Powell officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens in Franklin Furnace, Ohio. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
