Russell Howard Ginn, 89, of Salt Lick Road, Vanceburg, passed away Wednesday, April 13, 2022, at Saint Elizabeth’s Hospice in Edgewood.
He was born March 30, 1933, in Lewis County, a son of the late Russell Ginn and Emma Stephenson Ginn.
Howard proudly served his country in the United States Army. He was a Deacon for 50 years and Sunday School teacher for 40 years at Heselton Baptist Church. He loved going to church, reading, car racing, UK basketball and spending time with his grandchildren.
Survivors include his loving wife of 68 years, Faye Dixon Ginn; one son John Russell (Kelly) Ginn of Wilmington, Ohio; one daughter, Sydonna Hobbs of Russell; and three grandchildren, Kenton Ginn, Eric Ginn and Davonna (David) Saier.
In addition to his parents, Howard was preceded in death by a sister, Opal Caproni.
Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Monday, April 18, 2022, at Tollesboro Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 11918 Ky 57 at Tollesboro, with Bro. Rusty Pruitt officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Garden of Memories in Mason County.
Friends may visit after 11:30 a.m. Monday, April 18, 2022, at Tollesboro Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
Pallbearers will be Kenton Ginn, Eric Ginn, David Saier, Trent Bryant, and Chris Foster.
