Russell Wolf, 65, of Tar Fork Road, passed away Thursday morning, March 3, 2016, at King’s Daughters Medical Center in Ashland.
He was born March 13, 1950, in Keokuk, Iowa, a son the late Ansle Russell Wolf and Ella Kelley Merton.
Russell was of the Pentecostal faith and was a self-employed truck driver. He enjoyed fishing, gardening and spending time with family and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Kathy Wolf; one son, Freddy Wolf; his mother-in-law, Lucille Sampson; and his father-in-law, Robert Sampson.
Russell is survived by his wife of 35 years, Christine Teresa Sampson Wolf; one son and a daughter-in-law, Billy and Rebecca Wolf of Oklahoma; six daughters and three sons-in-law, Tina Richardson of Oklahoma, Tammy and Larry Hampton of Olive Hill, Jessica Denice Wolf of Oklahoma, Jennifer and Tyson Spradling of Mount Sterling, Teresa and Bobby Offill of Olive Hill, and Melinda Bumgardener of Oklahoma; 16 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Billy Ray Wolf and Greg Wolf both of Oklahoma; and his stepmother, Sandra Wolf of Oklahoma. He also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss him.
Services were Sunday, March 6, 2016, at Globe Funeral Chapel in Olive Hill with Bro. James Taylor officiating. Burial was in Buckler-Tackett Cemetery on Prater Road in Olive Hill.
Dustin Toller, Christopher Wolf, Phillip Hampton, Bobby Offill, Larry Hampton, and Howard Conn served as pallbearers.
