Scottie Borger

Caleb Scott “Scottie” Borger, 23, of Vanceburg, passed away Wednesday, May 8, 2024, as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

He was born at Cincinnati, Ohio, on October 6, 2000, a son of Todd Borger of Tollesboro, and Helen “Cary” Dakin Borger of Vanceburg.

He enjoyed playing video games, watching football, rooting for the Pittsburgh Steelers, working, and spending time with his family and friends, and especially his daughter.

In addition to his parents, survivors include a daughter, Karmyn Elizabeth Borger of Williamsburg, Ohio; two sisters, Ciara Borger of Tollesboro and Josie Borger of Vanceburg; two brothers, Todd “TJ” Borger of Tollesboro and Brandon Elofskey of Dayton, Ohio; his paternal grandfather, Leston Elliott; a stepsister, Tara (Dustin) Hall of Mt. Orab, Ohio; his stepmom, Tracey; and six nieces and nephews, Braxton, Bentley, Kyson, Jaycee, Khloe and Lukas. Many other family members and friends also survive who will sadly miss him.

Scottie was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Kenneth Borger and Connie Elliott; maternal grandparents, Melvin and Irene Dakin; and aunt, Bonnie Spangler; a cousin, Sara Spangler Horn; and best friend, TP Burriss.

Services will be at 11:30 a.m. Friday, May 17, 2024, in Waring Cemetery at Garrison with Bro. Travis Cooper officiating.

Friends may visit from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 17, 2024, at Globe Family Funeral Chapel, 103 Dudley Avenue at Garrison.

Pallbearers will be TJ Borger, Aaron Cooper, Coy Hill, Jakob Cooper, Isaac Davis, Ryan Hill, Joseph Rieder, Kenton Swingler, Andrew Swingler, Seth Shoemate, David Grayson, and Andrew Hyrne.
