Shari Lee Sparks Cook, 64, of Tollesboro, passed away Thursday, January 8, 2026, at Meadowview Regional Medical Center in Maysville.
She was born in Fleming County on September 9, 1961, a daughter of the late Floyd Douglas and Elizabeth Schweichart Sparks.
Survivors include her loving husband of 33 years, Ronald “Ron” Cook; three sisters, Judy (Gordon) Geagley of Tollesboro, and Sandra Crispo and Sue Ann Yockey of West Palm Beach, Florida; a brother, George (Kim) Sparks of Tollesboro; and several nieces and nephews. Many other family members and friends also survive who will sadly miss her.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Rita Lightner and Sheila Sparks Howard, and two brothers, William Douglas Sparks and Timothy Wheeler.
Services be at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 13, 2026, at Pine Valley Christian Church at Tollesboro with Bro. Phil Cropper officiating. Burial will follow in Pine Valley Cemetery.
Friends may visit after 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, January 13, 2026, at Pine Valley Church.
Pallbearers will be Tony Butler, Jimmy Joe Lightner, Wyatt Sparks, Dwight Malone, Mark Thurman, and Luke Sparks.
