Donald “Shawn” Henderson, 50, of Tollesboro, passed away Wednesday, August 2, 2023, in Maysville.
He was born November 11, 1972, in Mason County, a son of Ellen McCann Wisecup of Tollesboro and the late Donald Henderson.
Shawn was a farrier and a member of St. Mary’s Lodge #240. He enjoyed gardening, trading, loafing, collecting knives and guns, reading, helping others, and spending time with his family.
In addition to his mother, survivors include his wife of 26 years, Missy Dixon Henderson; three daughters, Hannah Henderson, Rachel Henderson, and Sarah Henderson of Tollesboro; two brothers, Martin Wisecup of Batavia, Ohio, and Todd Wisecup of Tollesboro; and his mothers-in-law, Kathleen Dixon and Loretta Dixon.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his stepfather, William Wisecup, and father-in-law, Darrell Dixon.
A memorial service will be at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 8, 2023, at Tollesboro Christian Church with Bro. Rex McGinnis, Bro. Jerry Fyffe and Bro. Johnny Byard officiating.
Friends may visit after 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 8, 2023, at Tollesboro Christian Church.
