Shirley Withrow McCann, 66, of Vanceburg, passed away Saturday, November 19, 2016, at Southern Ohio Medical Center in Portsmouth, Ohio.
She was born November 9, 1950, in Lewis County, a daughter of the late Virgil and Goldie Jones Withrow.
Shirley was a member of Aills Christian Church on Quicks Run Road and was a retired secretary. She enjoyed going to church, raising her farm animals, meeting with the ladies group and spending time with family and friends, especially her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Harry “Jack” McCann.
Shirley is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Harry and Becca McCann of Tollesboro, Chuck and Lana McCann of Mount Sterling, and Eric and Dana McCann of Georgetown; four grandchildren, Addisyn Rae McCann, Charles Owen McCann, Alyvia Grace McCann, and Jaxson William McCann; two brothers and one sister-in-law, Donald and Ramona Withrow of Winthrop Harbor, Illinois, and Gary Withrow of Portsmouth, Ohio; and one sister and brother-in-law, Pam and Don Morgan of Portsmouth, Ohio. She also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss her.
Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 23, 2016, at Dickerson Funeral Home in Vanceburg with Bro. Johnny Byard officiating. Burial will follow in Lewis County Memory Gardens at Black Oak.
Friends may visit from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 22, 2016, and until the service hour on Wednesday at Dickerson Funeral Home, 110 West Second Street in Vanceburg.
Pallbearers will be Eddie McCann, Chris Elam, Tom McCann, Kenny McCann, Earl Cooley, Doug Enix, and Carl Toller.
In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to Hospice of Hope, 909 Kenton Station Drive, Maysville, KY 41056.
