Solar eclipse will peak locally today about 2:32 p.m.

A much touted solar eclipse is headed our way and will arrive locally this afternoon, August 21.

The eclipse will be seen across the United States in varying degrees.

According to information from NASA, the eclipse will begin locally about 1:04 p.m. today and will continue until 3:54 p.m.

The peak here will be at about 2:32 p.m. when the moon will block about 91 percent of the sun.
