Ethel Sophia Ginn Fite, 74, of Vanceburg, passed away Thursday, November 24, 2022, at Southern Ohio Medical Center in Portsmouth, Ohio.
She was born in Mason County on April 14, 1948, a daughter of the late Cecil and Ruby Faye Thurman Ginn.
Sophie was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints. She enjoyed sewing, fishing, farming, and spending time with her family.
Survivors include two sons, Kenneth Ginn and Bryan Fite of Vanceburg; two daughters, Judy Fite of Vanceburg and Beatrice Sanders of Kentucky; one brother, Steven Ginn of Vanceburg; two sisters, Mickey Ginn of Vanceburg and Sadie Hackworth of Portsmouth, Ohio; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Many other family members and friends also survive who will sadly miss her.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Jennifer Lynn Fite; two brothers, Billy Ginn and Jack Ginn; and two sisters, Dorothy Ginn and Betty Kinney.
Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 29, 2022, at Dickerson Funeral Home, 110 West Second Street in Vanceburg, with Bro. Steve Waldmann officiating. Burial will follow in Hackworth Cemetery on Salt Lick.
Friends may visit after 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 29, 2022, at Dickerson Funeral Home in Vanceburg.
Family members will serve as pallbearers.
