Sue Fannin

Kathleen Sue Hampton Fannin, 74, of Camp Dix, passed away Monday, April 15, 2024, at St. Claire HealthCare in Morehead. She was surrounded by her loving family.

Sue was born April 9, 1950, in Mason County, a daughter of the late Charles and Lottie Gulley Hampton.

She was a member of Blankenship Christian Holiness Church. She enjoyed traveling with her friends and family, reading, and spending time with her grandchildren.

Survivors include her loving husband of 60 years, Kenneth Wayne “Corky” Fannin; two daughters, Janie (Tommy) Riggs of Vanceburg and Tiffany Fannin of Greenup; four sons, Darrell Fannin (Kathy) of Tollesboro, Billy (Lisa) Fannin and Josh Barrett of Vanceburg, and Justin Barrett of Greenup; one sister, Ann Hord of Flemingsburg; one brother, Dean Hampton of Maysville; 12 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Many other family members and friends also survive who will sadly miss her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Joan Pollitt and Lynn Lykins, and two brothers, Charles Flem “Bo” Hampton and Harry Hampton.

Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 19, 2024, at Globe Family Funeral Chapel, 7975 Lower Kinney Road at Camp Dix, with Bro. Chris Lawhun officiating. Burial will follow in Morgan Cemetery at Head of Grassy.

Friends may visit after 10:00 a.m. Friday, April 19, 2024, at Globe Family Funeral Chapel at Camp Dix.

Sue’s grandsons will serve as pallbearers, and her grandsons and great-grandson will serve as honorary pallbearers.
