The suspect believed to have been involved in a shooting incident in Olive Hill Monday afternoon was arraigned in Lewis District Court on Tuesday on a charge of first-degree wanton endangerment of a police officer.
Wesley Cornell, 30, of Vanceburg appeared before District Judge Paul Craft on the charge stemming from his alleged actions on Laurel Creek Road in Lewis County just before he was apprehended.
Judge Craft advised Cornell of his rights and read the charge against him.
“You are here today sir charged with one count of wanton endangerment, first-degree, of a police officer. That is a class D felony,” Judge Craft said to Cornell.
