A tanker truck transporting butane through Lewis County on Ky. Rt. 8 went off the roadway and overturned Thursday resulting in an evacuation of the area and closure of the roadway for several hours.
Sheriff Johnny Bivens said the tanker truck, operated by Thomas White, 57, of Grayson, was traveling west on Ky. Rt. 8 between St. Paul and Quincy when the right wheels of the truck went off the right side of the roadway just east of Rock Creek Road.
