Timothy Andrew Tackett, 61, of Ashland, passed away Thursday, January 23, 2025, at UK-King’s Daughters Medical Center in Ashland.
He was born December 27, 1963, in Portland, Oregon, a son of the late MJ and Dorothy McAllister Tackett.
He was a lifelong truck driver and a long hauler for the government. He enjoyed traveling, riding motorcycles, grilling, and caring for his dogs. He was a big jokester and loved telling stories. He loved woodworking and doing home improvement projects. He carved his own path in life with a big heart, and he cared for his family and friends.
Timothy is survived by one sister, Carol Jones of Lexington; one brother, Roy (Beverly) Tackett of Garrison; two nieces, Brittany Tackett of Maysville and Caitlin Jones (Darion) of Alexandria, Virginia; one nephew, Daren (Sarah) Jones of Frankfort; one great-niece, Lily Tackett; and his companion, Pamela Travis of Ashland. Many other family members and friends also survive who will sadly miss him.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Gary Dale Tackett and a sister, Maria Angelina Simpson.
Graveside services were Saturday, February 1, 2025, in Democrat Cemetery at Garrison.
