Tina Aldene Gilliam Burton, 81, of Vanceburg, passed away Thursday evening, November 15, 2018, at Vanceburg Rehabilitation and Care Center.
She was born February 28, 1935, in Lewis County, a daughter of the late Roy and Ardath Butler Gilliam.
Tina was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed sewing, working in her flowers and spending time with her family.
Tina is survived by three brothers, Kenneth Gilliam of Stuarts Draft, Virginia, Robert Gilliam and Don Gilliam, both of Vanceburg; and six sisters, Wanda Hardeman of Vanceburg, Olive Masters, Vernus Miller, and Suevondia Sutherland, all of Mansfield, Ohio, Helen Gilliam and Audrey Fetterhoff, both of Columbus, Ohio. She also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss her.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Burton; six brothers, Carl Gilliam, Harold Gilliam, Gary Gilliam, Wayne Gilliam, Earl Gilliam and Randolph Gilliam; and four sisters, Lillian Campbell, Gevena Gilliam, Norma Ball and Madeline Morgan.
A graveside service will be at 4:00 p.m. Sunday, November 18, 2018, at the Smith Gilliam Cemetery in Lewis County with Bro. Hansel Butler officiating.
