Lester Tony Cooper, 85, of Garrison, passed away Monday, June 16, 2025, at his home.
He was born February 28, 1940, a son of the late Patrick Cooper and Garnet Osborne Clark.
Tony was of the Apostolic Faith. He worked as a logger and enjoyed cutting trees, looking for pop cans, caring for his horses, and spending time with his family.
Survivors include his loving wife of 58 years, Ruth Marie Vanhoose Cooper; two daughters, Donna Kay Darlington (Herbie Coalgrove) and Diane Caseman (George) of Vanceburg; three sons, Lester Dean (Tammy) Cooper, Tony Lee (Roberta) Cooper, and Paul Ray (Michael) Cooper of Garrison; four sisters, Janie Lambert of Nevada, Ohio, Ruth Ann (Bill) Killum of Austin, Texas, and Dollie Cooper and Bessie Holt of Vanceburg; two brothers, Elwood Cooper of Garrison and Cowboy Cooper of Vanceburg; seven grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren. Many other family members and friends also mourn his passing.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Tammy Lynn Cooper; four sisters, Helen Govenor, Mearl Thorton, Alkine Cooper, and Fay Lambert; and four brothers, Leo Cooper, Garland Cooper, Ernie Ray Cooper, and James Homer Cooper.
Graveside services will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 18, 2025, in Spy Run Cemetery with Bro. Keith Blankenbeckley officiating.
