Anthony Wayne “Tony” Flanery, 68, of Firebrick, passed away Wednesday, May 22, 2024, at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington.
He was born at Wyandotte, Michigan, on October 10, 1955, a son of the late Cleavie and Dolores Cooper Flanery.
Tony was a US Army veteran.
Left behind to cherish his memory are three sons, Michael (Debbie) Flanery, David (Roseva Hammond) Flanery, and Mark Flanery; two sisters, Teena Munn and Tonya Cooper; six grandchildren, Brianna Flanery, Kyle Flanery, Hope (Zach) Flanery, Faith Flanery, Amanda Simpson, and Kimber (Tiffany Justice) Campbell. Several great-grandchildren, other family members, and friends also survive who will sadly miss him.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Sherry Dyer, and brother, Rick Flanery.
Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 28, 2024, at Roberson Funeral Home in South Shore with Raymond Lewis officiating. Burial will follow in Ford Cemetery at Firebrick.
Visitation for family and friends will be one hour prior to services Tuesday at Roberson Funeral Home.
