Traci Swingler

Traci Lee Swingler, 48, of Vanceburg, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, June 5, 2025, at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio.

Traci was born in Landstuhl, Germany, July 9, 1976, a daughter of Earl Killen and Karen McCane Kempf. She was a nurse practitioner for Southern Ohio Medical Center in Portsmouth, Ohio, working in occupational medicine for the past six years and as a registered nurse for 10 years before that.

She loved traveling, listening to music, and vacationing at the beach with her family. She was very fond of her dogs and was an avid Bengals fan. Most of all, she loved her family dearly and especially adored her grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Earl Killen (Addie Clark) of Tollesboro and Karen (Mike) Kempf of Vanceburg, those left to cherish Traci’s memories are her husband of 28 years, Robert Swingler, whom she married January 25, 1997; three sons, Andrew Swingler and Kenton Swingler of Vanceburg, and Ryan (Selena) Swingler of Quincy; five sisters, Jennifer (Duane) Osborne of Carlisle, Cathi (Wes) Madden of Garrison, Sandi Killen (Steven Reis) of Vanceburg, Emilee Gubeno of Dallas, Texas, and Rachel (Josh) Moerlein of Cincinnati, Ohio; and four grandchildren, Archer, Wrenley, Myla, and Rowan. Several other family members and friends also survive.

At Traci’s request there will be no service at this time. A private memorial will be at a later date.

Gaydos Funeral Home is caring for the family.
