Triston Burriss

Triston Paul “TP” Burriss, 20, of Vanceburg, passed away Tuesday morning, May 11, 2021, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

He was born December 20, 2000, in Portsmouth, Ohio, a son of Clayton and Paula Esham Burriss of Vanceburg.

Triston worked at Greenup Locks and Dam for the Army Corps of Engineers and enjoyed loafing with his friends, nieces and nephews, and spending time with his family.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by Sam Burriss (Cortney) of Vanceburg, who helped raise him and to whom he referred as Paw and Maw; one sister, Bailey Mason (Steven) of Tollesboro; three nephews, Rayden Mason, Elijah Mason, and Jace Mason; four nieces, Anna Bella Mason, Mya Burriss, Willow Burriss, and Alli Burriss; his maternal grandparents, Paul and Fonda Esham of Vanceburg; his uncle and two aunts, Paul and Marina Burriss and De Ann Esham; eight cousins, Bethany, John, Isaiah, Ainsley, Ciera, John, Madison, and Connor; and his fiancée, Katelyn Faul. He also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss him.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Paul and Mabel Burriss; one brother, Mason Burriss; and one uncle, Bill Burriss.

Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 19, 2021, at Dickerson Funeral Home in Vanceburg with Bro. Roger Conley and Bro. Jim Bob Williams officiating. Burial will follow in Mason’s Memorial Park on KY 8 at Garrison.

Friends may visit from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 18, 2021, and after 9:00 a.m. Wednesday at Dickerson Funeral Home, 110 West Second Street in Vanceburg.

Triston’s friends will serve as pallbearers.
