A Vanceburg man has been arrested and charged with trafficking after allegedly selling crystal meth to a sheriff’s department informant.

Sheriff Johnny Bivens said Douglas Clay Hampton, 31, was charged with two counts of first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance and lodged in the Lewis County Detention Center.

Hampton allegedly sold crystal methamphetamine to an informant with the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office on two separate occasions.
