Vandals deface property at Quincy swimming hole

A Quincy swimming hole that has attracted visitors as much for its scenic beauty as the ability to cool a person off on a hot day recently received some unwelcome attention by vandals with paint cans.
Sheriff Johnny Bivens said he was contacted last week after someone painted graffiti on a concrete culvert and large rocks around the popular swimming area.

The swimming hole, well known by locals as The Pretty Place, is located just north of a railroad culvert where Briary Creek passes beneath CSX Railroad tracks.
