Vera L. Lambert, 73, of Grayson, passed away peacefully Thursday, July 20, 2023, at Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland after an extended illness. Her family was at her side.
Vera was born in Lewis County on December 31, 1949, a daughter of the late William Roy and Mamie Marie Cooper Jordan. She worked for the ambulance service as a dispatcher and bookkeeper. Vera was a member of Trace Fork Christian Holiness Church and was a homemaker.
Survivors include her husband of 53 years, Carl E. Lambert, whom she married August 30, 1969, on Trace Fork; one daughter, Carla L. Lambert of Grayson; one son, William E. (Rebecca) Lambert of Grayson; and seven grandchildren. Several family members and friends also survive who will mourn her passing.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Yvonna Sharon Jordan in infancy.
Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Monday, July 24, 2023, at Gaydos Funeral Home, 159 Second Street in Vanceburg, with Bro. Scott Lambert officiating. Burial will follow in Lambert Cemetery at Grayson.
Visitation be after 11:00 a.m. Monday, July 24, 2023, at Gaydos Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be David Howard, Tim Jordan, and Samuel Hamilton.
