Virgie Darlene Johnson Grigson, 61, of Garrison, passed away Tuesday, October 15, 2024, at Southern Ohio Medical Center in Portsmouth, Ohio.
She was born September 27, 1963, at Sharon, Pennsylvania, a daughter of the late John “Bob” and Catherine Adkins Johnson.
Virgie enjoyed listening to music, going out to eat, shopping, going to the flea market, and spending time with her family.
Survivors include two daughters, Amanda Logan (Chris Scott) of Flemingsburg and Laken Burriss of Ohio; two sons, Chris Bloomfield (Katie Doyle) of Garrison and Josh (Kayla) Burriss of Mason County; five sisters, Sue Womer of Warren, Ohio, Brenda Johnson of Garrison, Donna (Wayne) Stamp of Niles, Ohio, Joy Johnson of Garrison, and Tammy (Jamey) Carver of Black Oak; two brothers, Rick Johnson (Brenda Garris) of Grayson and Gary Johnson of Warren, Ohio; eight grandchildren, Wade Lykins, Ariona Bloomfield, Abriella Bloomfield, Abbie Logan, Katie Logan, Lexi Logan, Brady Corns, and Brody Corns; 16 nieces and nephews. Many other family members, friends, and neighbors also survive who will sadly miss her.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her companion, Tad Burriss; one son, Brandon Grigson; and two sisters, Faye Ann Satmare and Debbie Davis.
Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Friday, October 18, 2024, at Globe Family Funeral Chapel, 103 Dudley Avenue at Garrison, with Bro. Tony Corns officiating. Burial will follow in Skidmore Cemetery at Garrison.
