Virgie I. Ruark, 72, of Vanceburg Hills Nursing Home, passed away Tuesday evening, September 10, 2024, at Southern Ohio Medical Center Hospice in Portsmouth, Ohio.
Virgie was born at Maysville on February 14, 1952, a daughter of the late Elvie and Gladys Pressley Harris.
Virgie attended Concord Church. She loved gardening and working with her flowers. She also liked to take long walks to the river. Virgie had worked for the Vanceburg nursing home in her earlier years. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family.
Surviving Virgie are two sons, John L. and Donald Ruark of Maysville. Several nieces and nephews also survive who will mourn her passing.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harold J. Ruark Jr., and a son, Ronnie Ruark.
At the request of the family, there will be no service at this time. A celebration of life will be at the convenience of the family.
