Virginia Grace Moore Gilbert, 86, of Vanceburg, passed away Sunday, November 15, 2020, at SOMC Hospice Center in Portsmouth, Ohio.
She was born June 25, 1934, in Lewis County, a daughter of the late Ova and Mary Mefford Moore.
Virginia was of the Church of Christ faith and enjoyed listening to bluegrass gospel and country music, singing, going to family reunions, and spending time with her family and grandchildren.
Virginia is survived by one son, Darrell Gilbert of Vanceburg; one daughter, Sharon Kay Corns of Vanceburg; two brothers, Richard Moore of Garrison, and Keith Moore of Vanceburg; one sister, Carolyn Lowhorn of Tennessee; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. She also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss her.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Floyd Arnold Gilbert; three sons, Steven Gilbert, Ricky Gilbert, and Hershel Gilbert; one grandson, Darrell Edward Gilbert; two great-granddaughters, Leslee Jo Casemen and Kaliana Jaden Lynn Conrad; and several brothers and sisters.
A graveside service will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, November 19, 2020, in Lewis County Memory Gardens at Black Oak with Bro. Arthur Moore officiating.
