Jamie Weddington has been Lewis County Schools Superintendent for a week and is beginning to implement strategies, and continue existing plansĀ to improve the education of our students.
“Obviously, some of the initiatives that Mr. (Maurice) Reeder, Mrs. (Belinda) Forman and Mr. (Donald) Pace and put into place are working,” Weddington said. “The results bear that out. We’re going to continue on with that.”
“When I met with the Central Office staff, I told them our focus would be on students, achievement, and on the safety and well being of the students,” he said. “That’s been the mission of the school district and we’re going to continue to look for every opportunity that we have to promote our students, to give our students the best education possible and to provide them with as many services as possible.”
Weddington will continue successful strategies, monitor budget and enrollment
