William Hanna charged with murder

William Hanna is being held on $250,000 cash bond.

William Hanna has been arrested on a charge of murder in the death of his three-year-old daughter after he allegedly allowed the child to come into contact with fentanyl.

William Hanna, 37, of Maysville, has been charged with murder and first-degree wanton endangerment.

According to the arrest warrant, Hanna allegedly “allowed his child to have access to and come into contact with fentanyl and controlled substances and in doing so caused the death of his minor child” and “wantonly engaged in conduct which created a substantial danger of death or serious physical injury to another person, when he allowed his other two children to be in close proximity to controlled substances.”

Issabella Hanna died April 19.

Hanna was arrested by Covington Police on May 12 and was initially lodged in the Kenton County Detention Center. He was booked into the Mason County Detention Center on May 15, jail records show. He remains lodged in lieu of a $250,000 cash bond.

Hanna’s arraignment is set for 10:00 a.m. Monday, May 22, in Mason County District Court.
