William Sidney Martin Jr., 60, of Garrison, passed away Wednesday evening, January 2, 2019, at Southern Ohio Medical Center in Portsmouth, Ohio.
He was born February 21, 1958, in Portsmouth, Ohio, a son of the late William Sidney Martin Sr. and Pansy Henderson Martin.
He was of the Christian faith and enjoyed going to auctions, vehicles, being a craftsman and spending time with his family and friends.
William is survived by his companion, Sheila Stidam; one son, William Thomas Lee Martin (Harlie) of Vanceburg; one daughter, Maggie Marie Patton (Lonnie) of Vanceburg; five grandchildren, Kayla Michelle Patton, Paige Renee Smith, Rylie Marie Patton, Lonnie Amos Patton Jr., Ara Bella Riker and one on the way; and one sister, Kathy Johnson (Lonnie) of Garrison. He also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss him.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Essie Jane Martin.
Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Sunday, January 6, 2019, at Globe Family Funeral Chapel in Garrison with Bro. Wes Cooper officiating. Burial will follow in Waring Cemetery at Garrison.
Friends may visit from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Saturday, January 5, 2019, and after 11:00 a.m. on Sunday at Globe Family Funeral Chapel, 103 Dudley Avenue at Garrison.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
