William Allen Phares, 65, of Maysville, passed away Friday, September 27, 2024, at Meadowview Regional Medical Center in Maysville.
He was born May 30, 1959, a son of to the late Charles Roy and Leslee Bursley Phares.
William enjoyed playing football in high school and worked as a security guard for 16 years. He was a devoted Kiss fan and loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Survivors include two sons, Matthew Allen Phares of Lexington and Nicholas William Phares of Maysville; five sisters, Margaret Phares and Kathy Lynn Finch of Maysville, Jennifer Huffman of Cynthiana, Dawn Young of Maysville, and Susan Madden of Vanceburg; two brothers; and three grandchildren. Many other family members and friends also survive who will sadly miss him.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 23 years, Mary Ann Phares; paternal grandmother, Edith Phares; maternal grandmother, Margaret Bev Bursley; and an uncle, Almon Henry Bursley Jr.
A Family Celebration of Life will be Saturday, October 5, 2024.
