William Vinson Pruitt, 73, of Quincy, passed away Sunday, December 27, 2020, at Southern Ohio Medical Center in Portsmouth, Ohio.
He was born July 14, 1947, in Lewis County, a son of the late Harry and Lois Davis Pruitt.
William proudly served his country in the United States Navy and attended First Church of God in Franklin Furnace, Ohio. He enjoyed going to flea markets, fishing, wheeling and dealing, and spending time with his family, especially with his grandchildren.
William is survived by his wife of 53 years, Ethel Sexton Pruitt; two daughters, Jacqueline Pruitt of Quincy and Crystal Eldridge (Kenny) of Greenup; six grandchildren, Jarrod Wells, Drew Cox, Jacob Cox, Bram Cox, McKenna Eldridge and Emily Eldridge; two great-grandchildren, Maddox Wells and Adaline Wells; and two brothers, Larry Pruitt of Grove City, Ohio, and Leland Pruitt of Wheelersburg, Ohio. He also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss him.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one grandson, Tyler Eldridge, and two sisters, Kathy Parish and Penny Cooper.
Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, December 31, 2020, at Globe Family Funeral Chapel in Garrison with Bro. Jared Hineman officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Cemetery at Quincy.
Friends may visit from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Thursday, December 31, 2020, at Globe Family Funeral Chapel, 103 Dudley Avenue at Garrison.
Pallbearers will be Kenny Eldridge, Jarrod Wells, Drew Cox, Jacob Cox, Bram Cox and Jessie Howard.
