William Thurston “Farmer” Riffe, 73, of Garrison, passed away Sunday, October 11, 2020, at his home.
He was born February 26, 1947, in Lewis County, a son of the late Forrest and Mary Ruth Bloomfield Riffe.
Farmer enjoyed sitting on the porch, hunting, fishing and caring for others.
Farmer is survived by four brothers, Garry Riffe of Beaver Creek, Ohio, Jackie Riffe of Holland, Ohio, Johnny Riffe of Sylvania, Ohio, and James Riffe of Toledo, Ohio, and two sisters, Lois Zornes of Garrison, and Bettie Riffe of Liberty Center, Ohio. He also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss him.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Jerry Riffe, Floyd Riffe, Alexander Riffe and Robert Riffe, and one sister, Deloris Clark.
Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 14, 2020, at Globe Family Funeral Chapel in Garrison with Bro. Johnny Stamper officiating. Burial will follow in Skidmore Cemetery at Garrison.
Friends may visit from 11:30 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 14, 2020, at Globe Family Funeral Chapel, 103 Dudley Avenue at Garrison.
Pallbearers will be Garry Riffe, Jackie Riffe, Johnny Riffe, Tony Zornes, Dale Lambert, Jake Riffe, and Tony Dale Zornes.
