Wilson Newell Moore, 71, of Vanceburg, passed away Monday, March 25, 2024, at Vanceburg Rehabilitation and Care.
He was born December 19, 1952, in Lewis County, a son of the late Adrian Eugene and Armilda Frances Swim Polley.
Wilson enjoyed going to church, playing Rook, hunting and going out to eat.
Survivors include one sister, Geneva Brown of Vanceburg; two brothers, Arnold (Judy) Moore of Wallingford and Allen (Mary) Moore of Mayslick; and several nieces and nephews. Many other family members and friends also survive who will sadly miss him.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn Presley Moore; three sisters, Shirley Wright, Juanita McCane and Barb Dyer; and two brothers, Adrian Moore and Omer Moore.
Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Monday, April 1, 2024, at Dickerson Funeral Home, 110 West Second Street in Vanceburg, with Bro. Kent Moore officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Tabor Cemetery at Tollesboro.
Friends may visit after 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 1, 2024, at Dickerson Funeral Home.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
