One of the men charged in connection with moving the body of Justin Johnson and allegedly destroying evidence has been released from jail after the conditions of his bond were modified.

Wince Walters appeared in Lewis District Court Tuesday with his attorney to enter a motion to modify the bond. He and Preston Neill Walters have been held in the Lewis County Detention Center since their arrests on March 31 after Johnson’s body was found.

District Judge Brian McCloud agreed to modify the bond from $10,000 cash only to $10,000 cash or property.

The value of the property less any encumbrance, lien and/or mortgage must be more than double the amount of the original cash bond.
