Work on Blue Bridge replacement getting started

A $4.4 million project to replace the Blue Bridge over Kinniconick Creek at Garrison will officially get underway this week, according to a spokesman with the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet.
Allen Blair, Public Information Officer for District Nine, said the project includes replacing the steel truss span on Ky. Rt. 8 with a new concrete-surfaced steel girder bridge in the same location as the old bridge.
