A Vanceburg teen was injured Saturday afternoon in a four-wheeler accident in a wooded area off Rock Run Road.
Deputy Bryon Walker said the young male was riding four-wheelers with friends at about 2:30 p.m. Saturday when a tree limb reportedly struck him in the leg.
He and his friends were able to get to the roadway and summon help, Walker said.
He was airlifted from a helipad near the intersection of the AA Highway and Ky. Rt. 59 in Vanceburg and taken to the trauma unit at Cabell-Huntington Hosptial in Huntington, West Virginia.
Assisting were Air-Evac, Vanceburg Fire and Rescue, and Portsmouth Ambulance.
