DENISE EVANS
Pauletta Denise Christy Evans, 63, of Vanceburg, passed away from injuries sustained in a car accident on March 28, 2026.
She was born in Lewis County on May 5, 1962, a daughter of the late Robert Christy and Betty Blevins Edington.
Denise was a homemaker and the heart of her family, always putting them first. Anyone who spent time with her knew how greatly she loved them all. She enjoyed vacationing at the beach with her husband and family, attending her grandchildren’s school and sporting events, and shopping with her family, especially her aunt Norma Blevins Billman.
Left to cherish her memory are her devoted husband of 45 years, Colin Ray Evans; three daughters: Amy (Brandon) McCray, Ashley (Josh) White, and Brittany Wolfe; greatly loved grandchildren Colby White, Cameron Wolfe, Carly White, Ryan Wolfe, Tyson McCray, Olivia McCray, Tristan Hanna, and Sylas Hanna; her mother Betty Edington; one sister Lorie (Marc) Adams; and two brothers Victor (Melanie) Christy and Matthew (Jackie) Christy. Many other family members and friends will sadly miss her.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Issabella Hanna, and her stepfather, Darrel Edington.
Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, May 16, 2026, at Globe Family Funeral Chapel at Camp Dix with Bro. Edward Evans officiating. Burial will follow in Vergne Cemetery.
Friends may visit after 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 16, 2026, at Globe Family Funeral Chapel at Camp Dix.
Pallbearers will be Adam Christy, Cory Christy, Lucas Adams, Gabe Adams, Colby White, Cameron Wolfe, Ryan Wolfe, and Tyson McCray. Honorary pallbearers will be Tristan Hanna and Sylas Hanna.
