Ronnie G. Carrington Sr., 59, of Vanceburg, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, June 8, 2026, at Southern Ohio Medical Center in Portsmouth, Ohio. He was surrounded by family.
Ronnie was born in Lewis County on October 22, 1966, a son of the late Robert and Flora Bloomfield Carrington.
He had worked at the Vanceburg nursing home for more than 12 years. He loved reading his Bible and playing guitar. Ronnie was of the Pentecostal faith.
Survivors include his wife, Teresa Alcorn Carrington; a daughter, Kayla (Joey) Scott of Orangeburg; a son, Ronnie G. (Christine) Carrington Jr. of Lexington; four sisters, Judy (Rickey) Rickards of Wheelersburg, Ohio, Connie Bryan of Tollesboro, Goldie Meadows of Greenup, and Donna King (fiancé Mike Clark) of Quincy; two brothers, Charles (Ayanna) Carrington of Vanceburg and Shelby Carrington of Williamsburg, Ohio; and three grandchildren whom he loved and adored, Madilynn Gloss, Waylon Scott, and Jackson Scott.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Wilma Edington; a brother, Robert Carrington; and twin babies, Cory and Roy Carrington.
A private family service will be held with Bro. Terry Dingess officiating.
