Charles William Carl “Bill” Egbert, 57, of Greenup County, passed away Friday Evening, December 7, 2018, in Athens County, Ohio.
He was born June 23, 1961, in Hamilton, Ohio, a son of Charles Norman Egbert of Morehead and the late Shirley Ann Holbrook Egbert.
Bill was a truck driver and he enjoyed racing and working on race cars.
In addition to his father, Bill is survived by his wife, Dorothy Olsen Egbert; two sons, Charles “Chuck” Egbert (Tara) of Garrison and Dustin Egbert of Pickaway, Ohio; one daughter, Melinda Scott of Crestwood; five stepchildren, Crystle Hibbord, Jeremiah Thomas, Kristen Dreydoppiel, Shawn Blaylock and Dakota Blaylock; 12 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one brother, Herold Egbert of Ohio; one sister, Elizabeth Egbert of Ohio; and one half sister, Alicia Herron of Pennsylvania. He also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss him.
In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by one son, Jeremiah Egbert; two grandchildren, Wyatt Egbert and Hannah Egbert; and two sisters, Cassie Mae Egbert and Mary Lightner.
Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 12, 2018, at Globe Family Funeral Chapel in Garrison with Pastor Pat Hoeksema officiating. Burial will follow in Skidmore Cemetery at Garrison.
Friends may visit from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 12, 2018, at Globe Family Funeral Chapel, 103 Dudley Avenue at Garrison.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
