Billy Ray Bowles, 63, of Vanceburg, passed away Monday, September 2, 2019, at his home.
He was born November 5, 1955, in Lewis County, a son of the late Roosevelt and Dorothy Green Bowles.
Billy was of the Christian faith and he enjoyed hunting, fishing, visiting folks and spending time with his family.
Billy is survived by his wife of 28 years, Angela Adams Bowles; one son, Billy Jack Bowles of Morehead; five daughters, Yolanda Johnson and Shella Sanchez, both of Lexington, Carissa McClurg, Josie Gilliam and Jacquelyn Flinders, all of Vanceburg; 16 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one brother, Roosevelt Bowles Jr. of Vanceburg; five sisters, Devetta Bowles, Marla Patton, Mary Burnside, and Lorna Smith, all of Lexington, and Anita McAdams of Flemingsburg. He also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss him.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Robert Allen Bowles, and two sisters, Gwendolyn Bowles and Patricia Davis.
A Celebration of Life service will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 7, 2019, at Dickerson Funeral Home in Vanceburg with Bro. Anthony McAdams officiating.
Friends may visit from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 7, 2019, at Dickerson Funeral Home, 110 West Second Street in Vanceburg.
