Michael Wayne Willis, 58, of Tollesboro, passed away Thursday, July 14, 2016, at the Hospice of Hope Care Center at Kenton Pointe in Maysville.

Born December 31, 1957, in Lee County to the late Denzil and Alvena Powell Willis, he had worked in the oil fields and as a truck driver.

Mr. Willis is survived by his loving wife, Christine Polley Willis; five children, Amanda (Ben) Cochran of Springfield, Ohio, Chrissy (Randy) Gilliam of Sharpsburg, Trista (Jeremy) Warner of Sharpsburg, Brittany McCord of Louisville, Kendra McCord of Maysville; 11 grandchildren, Benjamin, Hayden and Katilyn Cochran, Makensley, Tori, Alexis and Andrew Gilliam, Gavin, Allie, Cameron and Kaideon Warner; a brother, Timmy (Debbie)Willis of Booneville; two sisters, Kim (Keith) Combs of Beattyville and Vicki Willis of Campton; father-in-law, Don (Sharon) Polley of Tollesboro; and mother-in-law, Alma (Newell) Thomas of Vanceburg; brother-in-law, Donald Ray (Geneva) Polley of Aberdeen, Ohio; sister-in-law, Ruth (Danny) Butler of Tollesboro; and a host of relatives and friends to mourn his passing.

Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 19, 2016, at Hickory Grove Church with Bro. Arthur Moore and Bro. Jamie Mitchell officiating.

Burial will follow in Burtonville Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Tom Fetters, Tom Fetters Jr., John Fetters, Danny Edington, Daniel Hester and Trace Tolliver. Honorary Pallbearers will be Donald Ray Polley, Timmy Willis, Randy Gilliam, Jeremy Warner, Danny Butler and all of his music students.

Visitation will be at the church from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Monday.

Arrangements are under the direction of Barbour and Son Funeral Home.
