James Brad Esham, 55, of Vanceburg, passed away Sunday, October 22, 2023, at his home. He was surrounded by his loving family.
He was born at Portsmouth, Ohio, on August 26, 1968, a son of Patty Crawford Esham of Vanceburg and the late James Clay Esham.
Brad’s number one thing in life was spending time with his grandchildren.
In addition to his mother, survivors include two daughters, Emily Briann (Ricky) Sparks of West Chester, Ohio, and Karys Shaw of Vanceburg; two sons, Clay Cole Esham of North Carolina and Samuel Beckham (Shandria) Esham of Vanceburg; one sister, Becky (Jeff) Zornes of Vanceburg; and three grandchildren, Marlowe Bexley Sparks, Triston Joel Thomas Esham, and Emberlee Jade Sprouse. Many other family members and friends also survive who will sadly miss him.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a son, Scooter Butt.
Services will be at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, October 26, 2023, at Dickerson Funeral Home, 110 West Second Street in Vanceburg, with Roy Highlander officiating.
Friends may visit after 5:30 p.m. Thursday, October 26, 2023, at Dickerson Funeral Home.
