Dorothy Lee Toller McCleese, 87, of Vanceburg, passed away Wednesday, March 4, 2026. She was surrounded by her loving family.
Dorothy was born in Lewis County on June 12, 1938, a daughter of the late Morris and Didama McCoy Toller.
She was a member of Black Oak Christian Church and was always ready to volunteer with the DAV and Salvation Army. She enjoyed watching TV, helping others, working puzzles, and spending time with friends.
Survivors include two daughters, Donna (Bruce) McDonald of Midway and Tammy (David) Kamer of Lexington; four grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. She will also be missed by many other family members and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 12 years, Kirby McCleese; three sisters, Georgia Toller, Louise McCann, and Edna Toller; four brothers, Wiley Manns, Homer Manns, Junior Toller, and Lovell Toller; and a granddaughter, Leslie Blevins.
Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Monday, March 9, 2026, at Dickerson Funeral Home, 110 West Second Street in Vanceburg, with Bro. Jim Girdwood officiating. Burial will follow in Lewis County Memory Gardens at Black Oak.
