Kristen Kay Thomas, 30, of Frankfort, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 19, 2026 at Albert B. Chandler Hospital in Lexington.
Born on April 18, 1996 to Linda and Richard Thomas.
In addition to her parents she is survived by one sister, Alanna (Chris) Blum; fiancée, Matt Short; mother-in-law, Lillice Hartley; sister-in-law, Misty (Mike) Stucker; niece, Grace Stucker; nephew, Michael Stucker; special grandmother, Carrie Bemiss; and numerous cousins.
Kristen graduated from Western Hills High School in 2015. She lived a short life characterized by great joy, good humor and compassion for others. This compassion continued through her contribution to the organ donation program.
A celebration of life will be Thursday, June 25, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. until the hour of service at Forks of Elkhorn Baptist Church at Frankfort .
The Adulting Sunday School class will serve as pallbearers and honorary pall bearers.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Cinderella’s Closet, c/o Memorial Baptist Church, 130 Holmes Street, Frankfort, KY 40601.
