Jason Richard Smith, 48, of Vanceburg, passed away Tuesday, August 25, 2026, at Meadowview Regional Medical Center in Maysville.
He was born August 10, 1978, a son of the late James Ithel and Alice Gilliam Smith.
Jason enjoyed working with computers.
Survivors include one nephew, Jacob Smith; two aunts, Laura Gilliam (Chuck) and Tammy (Dean) Cooper; and three uncles, Wayne (Tammy) Gilliam, Rockie (Edna) Gilliam, and Gordon (Dorothy) Gilliam. Many other family members and friends will sadly miss him.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Jackie Smith, and one nephew, Damon Smith.
Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 1, 2026, at Dickerson Funeral Home, 110 West Second Street in Vanceburg, with Bro. Arthur Moore officiating. Burial will follow in Conley Cemetery in Lewis County.
Friends may visit after 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 1, 2026, at the funeral home.
