An inmate at the Lewis County Detention Center has died, according to a Kentucky State Police spokesman.
A KSP spokesman said dispatchers at the Morehead Post were notified at 5:56 a.m. today that inmate Chris Helphenstine, 40, of Tollesboro, had passed away during a medical transport.
