Pachael “Ferrell” Greene, 79, of Garrison, passed away Thursday evening, May 4, 2017, at his home.

He was born July 22, 1937, in Greenup County, a son of the late Lawrence and Bertha Wolfe Greene.

Ferrell was a member of Brushheart Freewill Baptist Church and worked as a farmer. He enjoyed going to church, trading guns and knives, farming, going out to eat and spending time with family and friends, especially his grandchildren.

Ferrell is survived by one son, Jeffery Greene of Garrison; one daughter, Patricia Howard of Garrison; three grandchildren, Joshua Greene (Cortnea), Kayla Greene (George Hall), and Kody Howard, all of Garrison; two great-grandchildren, Kristy Greene and Landon Greene; one sister, Bernice Howard of South Shore; and one sister-in-law, Joretta Greene. He also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss him.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Glenna Ruth Davis Greene; one son, Johnny Ray Greene; six brothers, Ollie Greene, Austin Greene, Ishmel Greene, Douglas Greene, Wedsel Green, and Ezra Greene; one sister, Beatrice Warnock; and one son-in-law, Phillip Howard.

Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, May 8, 2017, at Globe Family Funeral Chapel in Garrison with Bro. Larry Joe Madden officiating. Burial will follow in Kehoe Cemetery in Greenup County.

Friends may visit from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m Sunday, May 6, 2017, and after 9:00 a.m. Monday at Globe Family Funeral Chapel, 103 Dudley Avenue in Garrison.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
