Barbara A. Hobbs Caseman, 75, of Vanceburg, passed away Wednesday, June 3, 2026, at Southern Ohio Medical Center Hospice in Portsmouth, Ohio.
She was born at Vanceburg on April 19, 1951, a daughter of the late Charles Robert and Myrtle Carpenter Hobbs.
Barbara was a homemaker who loved gardening, going to church, and spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She was a member of I’ll Talk for Jesus Pentecostal Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Kathy (Chuck) Riffe of Garrison and Karen (Jimmy) Barker of Sandy Hook; eight sisters, Barsetta Bolander, Vessie (Darrell) Collier, and JoAnn (David) Riffe of Garrison, and Carmella “Bell” Hall, Nellie Bolander, Lonnie Hobbs, Jeanie Thurman, and Tuffy (Dean) Thurman of Vanceburg; a brother, Mitch (Lora) Hobbs of Vanceburg; four granddaughters, Stephanie (Anthony) Corns, Christy (Kenneth) Carver, Kelli Jo Riffe, and Erika Morgan; and eight great-grandchildren, Charles Corns, Henry Carver, Sawyer Laney, Ariona Riffe, Elaina Carver, Kayrena Corns, Noah Harlow, and Colson Harlow.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Caseman, in 2025; a sister, Leoma Shope; two brothers, James Franklin Hobbs and Charles Robert Hobbs Jr.; and a great-grandson, Isaac Corns.
Services will be at Noon Saturday, June 6, 2026, at Gaydos Funeral Home, 159 Second Street in Vanceburg, with Bro. Tony Corns officiating. Burial will follow in Caseman-Riffe Cemetery at Garrison.
Visitation will be after 11:00 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Chuck Riffe, Jimmy Barker, Anthony Corns, Charles Corns, Kenny Carver, and Kenneth Henry Carver.
