Charles Douglas “Doug” Wilson, 92, of Vanceburg, passed away Saturday, June 13, 2026, at UK St. Claire Medical Center in Morehead. His loving family was at this side.
He was born February 23, 1934, in Portsmouth, Ohio, a son of the late Cecil and Wanda Knipp Wilson.
Doug was a member of Vanceburg Church of God and Petersville Church of God, and he loved attending. He enjoyed watching Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy!
Survivors include a son, Mitchell (Diana) Wilson of Vanceburg, and one grandson, Mitchell Wilson II. Many other family members and friends will sadly miss him.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 71 years, Jewel Mae Corns Wilson; three sisters, Verna Riley, Ruth Boyer, and Betty Porter; and six brothers, Arthur Wilson, Ercel Wilson, Albert Wilson, Edgar Wilson, Willard Wilson, and Little Buster.
Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, June 18, 2026, at Dickerson Funeral Home, 110 West Second Street in Vanceburg, with Bro. Brian Williams and Bro. Terry Cooper officiating. Burial will follow in Gulley Cemetery on KY 377.
Friends may visit from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 17, 2026, and after 9:00 a.m. Thursday at Dickerson Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Roger Cooper, Wendel Cooper, Keith Cooper, David Kamer, Steve Kamer, and Bill Kamer.
