Ruby Stamm

Ruby Deloris Stamm, 88, of Vanceburg, passed away Sunday, May 17, 2026, at Vanceburg Hills Nursing Home. Her loving family was at her side.

She was born in Lewis County on May 10, 1938, a daughter of the late Everett and Norma Irene McRoberts Stamm.

Ruby devoted her life to caring for others. She found great joy in her career as a teacher and touched the lives of many students through the years. A woman of deep faith, she loved attending church, gardening, taking peaceful walks, and spending time with her family. She was an avid Cincinnati Reds fan and also enjoyed listening to Elvis Presley’s music.

Survivors include three sisters, Janice Clark of Louisville, Phyllis (Forest) Stamper of Edgewood, and Sharon (Ronnie) Riggs of Vanceburg; two brothers, Eddie (Jeannie) Stamm of Vanceburg and David Leon (Diane) Stamm of Crescent Hill; along with several nieces and nephews and many other family members and friends who will mourn her passing.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Helen Marie Kinder; one brother, Donnie Stamm; two brothers-in-law, George Kinder and Harold Clark; and one niece, Lisa Stamm.

Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Friday, May 22, 2026, at Thacker’s Chapel on KY 377 with Bro. Ronnie Riggs and Bro. Lonnie Eden officiating. Burial will be in Thomas Cemetery.

Visitation will be after 11:30 a.m. Friday at Thacker’s Chapel.

Dickerson Funeral Home in Vanceburg is caring for arrangements.
